Christian Daems graduated from the Free University of Brussels (VUB) as a Master in Computer Science with great distinction. He started working at MediaGeniX on digital TV projects in Scandinavia focusing amongst others on Media Asset Management.

The consultant role became a major activity for him over the years, especially when he was working for Software AG on several Enterprise Content Management projects. Christian was e.g. responsible for the Documentum Knowledge Management Project at KBC Bank in Belgium.

He has been active in the field of CMS for over more than 7 years now and has a thorough knowledge in Web Content Management Systems, Persuasive Marketing, ECM & Document Management, PIM, DAM, Intranet & Portal and Product & Catalog Content Management Systems. He has been involved in several CMS projects like at J&J, KBC, Sidmar, Jaga, VDAB & Forem, KMKG, Colruyt, Campina, Concentra, Roularta Media Group, ... . He founded together with Karine Blommaert CMS-Channel and is Managing Consultant at the consultancy firm.

Christian Daems is also ICT technology subsidy advisor and writer for Flemish ICT companies applying for ICT related subsidies of the Flemish Government (IWT).

Karine Blommaert has brought over more than 15 years of international experience together in CMS-Channel. High quality CMS & New Media related events are only a few of her objectives within CMS-Channel, next to the daily executive management of this high acclaimed CMS consultancy house.

She has a degree in social law and has profound skills in international & commercial environments.

Before starting up CMS-Channel she worked for MediaGeniX, Software AG, Altrex, INVE NV, Reebok and Pfizer Belgium.

Senior Consultant

Dr. Dirk Kenis has been fascinated, throughout his academic and business career, by online ICT support for virtual teams. His combined career encompasses 20 years of leadership in research, group decision support, change management, knowledge management and new business development in IT industry, academic and consulting environments (EDS, Andersen Consulting).

Currently Dirk is active as a senior consultant for CMS-Channel, lecturer at several universities and manages the Knosos project.

Senior Consultant

Drs. Geert-Jan van Bussel is master in business administration, business informatics and archivist and senior consultant in topics like document management, records management and content auditing. He is also assistant professor at the University of Amsterdam. 

Besides this he is a member of the working group 'Evidence' of the Dutch Institute of Normalization and Standardization (NEN), which publishes guidelines for organizations in how to produce archival documents which can be used as evidence within Dutch courts of justice. 

Other activities include strategic consultancy, content auditing en development of special training for document en record management professionals. He published more than fifty books and papers on business processes, content auditing, compliance and information and document management. In 2001 Geert-Jan was awarded the prestigious NMA Award, an award of excellence from the Dutch Association for Information Management, this to acknowledge his merits for the Dutch Document-, Workflow- and Record Management market.
